Plan B, Tinie Tempah and Katy B have been announced as nominees for the upcoming 56th Ivor Novello awards.

Plan B is a huge contender who has received an album award nomination for The Defamation of Strickland Banks while his single She Said is up for the Music Most Performed Work prize.

Tinie Tempah has been nominated for best contemporary song with his hit Pass Out. But we all know Labrinth did produce the song so let’s hope that Tinie doesn’t steal his thunder… Again

New girl Katy B has been nominated for Best Contemporary Song with club banger Katy On a Mission.

The Ivor Novello awards celebrates the best of British and Irish song writing. Recently, more urban artists are being recognised by the award which is usually dominated by indie rockers and pop singers like Lilly Allen.

So fingers crossed that Tinie, Plan B and Katy will do us proud and bring home the gold!
