A 14-year-old boy from Enfield has been charged with the murder of Leroy James who was stabbed to death on Wednesday at Ponders End recreation ground.

Leroy was with six friends in Ponders End Recreation Ground when he got into an argument with another youth who pulled out a knife and stabbed him, fatally wounding him.  He was found slumped against a climbing wall within the recreation ground

The accused teenager was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and will appear at Enfield Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
