Amy Winehouse fans across the globe are in outrage after a new drug campaign using the singers image was revealed in Switzerland.

The 27-year-old singer, who died on July 23, is shown above a slogan reading “No – to the decriminalisation of drugs”.

The idea was thought up by the youth division of the Swiss People’s Party, Young SVP based in Unterwallis, Switzerland. Many of the singer’s faithful fans have been made more than upset with the choice to use Amy’s image especially so close to her death.

Party president Gregory Logean explained their decision and said

Amy’s death put a sad reality before our eyes that other parties often forget – the harmful effects of drug consumption.  We are displaying a photo that the whole world already knows.  Winehouse was known not only for her songs, but above all for her drug excesses.

Do you think its acceptable for them to use her image in order to warn others?
