After months of showing off his glistening six pack, Craig David is back with great news. The 30-year-old singer has confirmed that he will be playing at the forthcoming Michael Jackson tribute concert.

The concert is scheduled to take place on October 8 in Wales at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium which means Jacko fans who don’t live in Wales are going to have to travel the hundreds of miles to hear stars perform Michael Jackson’s hit songs.

The R&B singer wrote on his official Facebook page

I am honoured to announce I will be performing alongside some of the world’s greatest artists at the Michael Jackson tribute concert.

Craig David’s career has been up and down since hit show Bo Selecta continuously mocked him and his hit song Rewind.

The full line up is yet to be announced but the chairman at promoter Global Live Events, Chris Hunt, says they will be announcing an incredible line-up soon.

The tribute concert has caused concern in the Jackson family, with brothers Jermaine and Randy calling the gig ‘inappropriate’ and ‘ill-timed’ as it coincides with the trial of doctor Conrad Murray, who is accused of causing Michael Jackson’s death.

Do you think the concert should be called off?
