David Haye has handed in his fight licence and finally retired from boxing. The former world heavyweight champion turns 31 on Thursday and always said he would quit before his birthday.

The British Boxing Board of Control secretary Robert Smith told the Sun

I received an email on Monday advising me Haye would not be carrying on. The Board will discuss it on Wednesday but there is no way we could go against his wish not to renew his boxing licence. Without it, he can’t fight.

Well, we will definitely miss seeing his gorgeous body covered in sweat and blood, we just want to know what he’s going to do next? Haye has already stepped down as a boxing promoter so who knows, maybe he’ll do a Jodie Marsh and become a body-builder.

Do you think the time is right for David Haye to retire from boxing?
