Strictly come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon has been sent an intimidating email from former contestant Nancy Dell’Olio, threatening to sue, after the Drummer Boy singer insulted Nancy’s performance on last week’s show.
The former partner of ex-England manager Sven Goran Eriksson is demanding an apology from Alesha, who won Strictly Come Dancing in 2007. When asked to comment on Nancy’s rumba performance last week Alesha told her
Nancy, I think you are a sexy woman and you know how to work it, but I have to be honest – you are a walking disaster. Your legs are so far apart and that’s not very feminine.
Nancy believes the comments were a personal attack against her and felt Alesha’s ‘defamatory and derogatory’ comments went ‘above and beyond her role as a judge’. The Italian TV personality went on to say
In light of the distress I have been subjected to, in the first instance I would like a public apology from Miss Dixon. I am also taking legal advice about other options that are open to me, including pursuing this matter further if it is not dealt with to my satisfaction.
This isn’t the first time Nancy has tried to sue a Strictly judge, so if I were Alesha I wouldn’t worry about it too much. A spokesman for Miss Dell’Olio declined to comment on the latest controversy.
Do you think Alesha should apologise, or is Nancy Dell’Olio just being a diva?
