Jamaican artist Mavado was due to start his UK tour this week, but unfortunately the Final Destination singer’s December concert dates have been cancelled because he was allegedly denied a visa.

The 30-year-old star was due to perform in Dunstable,  Birmingham, London and Manchester, but concert dates have now been postponed until April 2012. A source at Aston Entertainment centre in Birmingham said they had been told that the Reggae singer’s December concerts had been cancelled because he ‘couldn’t get a visa’.

Jamaican artists just can’t seem to get it right with this whole visa malarkey. Vybz Kartel was denied a UK visa earlier this year, disappointing hundreds of his European fans and Jah Cure, Sizzla and many others have also been denied entry into the UK.

Now in an ideal world artists requiring visas would have them approved before announcing nationwide tours, but we cant always have things our way can we.

Pappzd have been told that tickets are still valid, and ticket holders interested in a refund, should contact their point of purchase.
