As host for the upcoming BBC talent show The Voice, Reggie Yates has already taken a dig at the shows biggest competition, the X Factor. The Radio one DJ claimed that the BBC’s singing show, which starts in April next year, would be more ‘credible’ than the X Factor. MEOW.

He told The Sun,

I’m so excited… It’s about time there was a cool, credible show like this… I love The X Factor – I follow it every week but this is a different beast… The Voice is more to do with finding musical talent rather than pop stars.. We want credible people and they’ll be getting constructive criticism, not catchphrases.

It’s a shame we won’t be hearing any Louis Walsh ‘You Remind Me Of A Young Lenny Henry’ esque quotes on the Saturday night show.

But we hope Reggie hasn’t spoken too soon, because we all know what a big success Fame Academy was, right?
