Michael Kiwanuka has confirmed that he is in talks to do a collaboration with US Hip Hop Royalty Jay-Z.

Soul singer Michael has become hot topic this month due to him topping the BBC’s Sound Of 2012 poll. He even beat off competition from US stars such as Frank Ocean and is said to be the next big thing this year.

Following these positive forecasts the singer has revealed that Jay-Z contacted him in the hope of recording a track together, Michael told BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe:

Yeah – I’ve kept that quiet! That was really interesting, but yeah, there were a few e-mails… But then it’s a few e-mails that haven’t really materialised. We were in New York and there was an e-mail, but only a few hours before we had to leave so we couldn’t get it together. I don’t know what will happen with that. I have kept it quiet, but it’s Jay-Z, so if that comes then yeah.”

Well we assume Jay-Z is a bit busy at the moment with new baby Blue Ivy, but we hope to hear this collabo soon.
