Wretch 32 has revealed to the Daily Star that he was angry when he found out he had not been nominated for a BRIT award this year.

2011 was an extremely successful year for Wretch, with Don’t Go making it to number one, two top five hits and his album Black and White  making it to number four. But it looks like this just wasn’t enough for the BRIT panel who left Wretch out of the nominations, making Wretch a bit angry:

The Brits are such a big deal, it would have been huge to have been nominated. But after an hour of being angry, I just sat back and went, ‘Hey, it wasn’t meant to be.’

He added:

It’s sad not to be nominated, but if you’re not in the running when everybody knows you should have been, then that’s cool. When you get massive love from supporters, none of the other stuff matters. It may look like someone’s had overnight success, but that’s never the case. People don’t realise how hard it is to get here.

We definitely think Wretch deserved a nomination, but we’re glad he’s not taking it too personally.
