The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship will be held this summer in Poland and Ukraine but Mario Balotelli might be left out of his country’s squad if he doesn’t control his temper.

The 21-year-old did not play in Italy’s friendly against the United States in February for ‘disciplinary reasons’ and Italian boss Cesare Prandelli has warned the Manchester City star that he could potentially not be part of the upcoming tournament due to his misbehaviour on the pitch.

Balotelli has already collected three red cards this season and was charged with violent conduct after ‘stamping’ on the head of Tottenham Hotspur player Scott Parker in January.

Prandelli said:

In my head, Balotelli is a starter. But he still needs to show that he’s got the personality and capacity to handle this pressure.

He better get himself some anger management classes then!
