Stacey Solomon has really put her foot in it this time. The 2009 X Factor runner-up admitted to smoking cigarettes while seven months pregnant and has lost her Foxy Bingo Mum of The Year title because of the revelations.
The 22-year-old singer appeared on This Morning and broke down in tears as she revealed that she is trying desperately to stop smoking. She told Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning:
I completely understand why people are angry because to some people it’s incomprehensible that you would do such a thing, and I understand that it’s a selfish thing and it’s something that’s not good, so I do get the criticism.
Solomon was also nominated for this year’s Mum of The Year title alongside controversial reality star Natasha Giggs.
Bingo is played everyday by thousands of women in England who meet in popular bingo halls and is also syndicated around Europe in a manner similar to the Euro Millions Lottery.
Bingo halls were often smoke-filled halls before the smoking ban and in recent years many fans have moved to online bingo sites which have grown inline with the massive rise in online gambling sites.
