Fabrice Muamba has paid tribute to medical staff after he was discharged from hospital

Almost a month after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a football game, Fabrice Muamba has finally been released from hospital.

The Bolton midfielder collapsed during a football game against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in March but has since made an amazing recovery.

Dr Andrew Deaner, a Spurs fan who happened to be at the match after taking someone else’s ticket ran onto the pitch after Muamba collapsed. He was responsible for helping to save the footballers life and described his recovery as “miraculous”

Fabrice Muamba will continue to be monitored by doctors, and consultant cardiologist Dr Richard Cooke, believes it may not be too long before the footballer is back on the pitch.
