After a four day battle to save the life of Peter Sheriff, who was stabbed in the neck with a glass bottle at the Blackberry Messenger party, the father-of-two from Preston died in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The stabbing took place at Pulse nightclub in Southwark last Tuesday after singer Jessie J performed on stage. Former N-Dubz rapper Fazer had to give a police statement whilst other celebrities including some of the cast of The Only Way is Essex and Made in Chelsea were locked inside the club by police whilst they carried out investigations outside. Singer Dionne Bromfield also attended the event.
25-year-old Ashley Charles from Leicester, who was charged with attempted murder and appeared in court on Saturday, has been remanded in custody to appear before Inner London Crown Court on 20 April .

A spokesman from Scotland Yard explained that a murder enquiry had now been launched and a post-mortem would soon be carried out.
