Jessie J might quit The Voice UK as she is fed up of the rumours that she has been acting like a diva on set.
An offer doubling her current pay cheque of £100K to appear on the second series hasn’t persuaded the Price Tag singer to return. The 24-year-old told a friend:
Maybe it’s time for album number two and a lot less bull. I can’t seem to win. I’m not sure I want to come back to this.
However, the BBC are desperate for Jessie to remain a part of the show and even Tom Jones has said that he would be reluctant to sign up for another series if his fellow judge was not there.
A BBC source claims:
The show is in turmoil and needs to keep somebody like Jessie who attracts kids who will vote. She just thinks maybe it’s best… especially if it’s damaging her reputation. She doesn’t want people to forget she’s a singer.
In an interview with Capital FM earlier in the week, the Who You Are star refused to confirm whether she was returning and simply said:
Who knows? I’m going to keep it a mystery.
Maybe they could replace her with a professional gurner if she does vacate that red chair.
