Wizzy Wow’s beats have been featured on a number of UK artists’ projects including Tinie Tempah, Estelle and
his drinking partner Wretch 32. But recently he revealed that he is now working on a solo album and compared it to something you might expect to hear from US super producer DJ Khaled.
Wizzy Wow told The Wrap Up
I’m working on a producer EP at the minute, something like you might get from DJ Khaled – minus the shouting. I’m creating the music and looking to get other artists who fit the beats well. It’ll be about ten tracks or so and I’m hoping to release it in June. There’s no official release date as yet, but I’ll probably go with ‘I Am Wizzy Wow’ for the title.
He also explained how he’s been inspired by Lil Wayne’s Young Money label to create his own team with upcoming UK artists Enj and Tippalay.
I’m also working with Enj and Tippalay to form a team called Winners World, which may eventually evolve into a Young Money kind of thing in the future. However, it’s just about us working together and making great music right now.
Aswell as his very own EP (which boasts such an imaginative title might we add) and creating the British version of Young Money, it looks like the north London producer also has his sights on international success and admitted that he’s been spending quite a bit of time on his Stateside ventures. However, he’s still remaining tight lipped on those details!
