When Joleon Lescott’s header became the first goal for England in this years Euro 2012, you’d think that he would receive nothing but praise and applause.

Instead, Lescott became victim to name calling and harsh comments because of the size of his forehead, one of which came from British comedian Omid Djalili on Twitter.

He compared the England footballer to a Star Trek character called Klingon, well known for their ridged foreheads.

However, Djalili has since apologised for his comments claiming that he wasn’t aware that Lescott’s scars were because he was knocked down by a car at the age of 5.

The comedian then tweeted:

Feeling guilty Omid? We should think so!
