Will.i.am appeared on BBC One’s Graham Norton show last night and to say it didn’t run smoothly would be a slight understatement.

The Black Eyed Peas rapper was left stunned after he sat with actress Miriam Margoyles, who plays Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, and she revealed that she was fascinated by him because he is black.

Margoyles, a descendent of immigrants from Belarus who grew up in a Jewish household, said:

Unfortunately, I don’t know many black people. We don’t get to meet across the colour line much except in showbusiness and that’s what’s so nice.

The actress went on to comment on Will’s recent donation to the Prince’s Trust and said:

You’re fabulous! How unexpected that a rapper would do this. I don’t have a very positive attitude towards rappers. I don’t really know any, you’re the first one I’ve actually talked to.

But, there were no hard feelings! Will.i.am laughed off the situation and even taught Margoyles the meaning of “homeboys” and “old school” and many people took to Twitter saying that the pair should have their own sitcom!

Well, watch this space!
