What is it with footballers and their Twitter accounts? It was only a few days ago when Rio Ferdinand got himself into hot water after his choc-ice scandal and now it’s the turn of Arsenal player Emmanuel Frimpong.

The 20-year-old has been given a good telling off from bosses after he called a rival Tottenham Hotspurs fan a ‘scum yid’, a derogatory term for a Jew.

Frimpong initially posted a tweet saying “if you going church today Pray For me Giving today A Miss”.

The midfielder then re-tweeted a reply from a Spurs fan which read, “I prayed you break your arms and legs” to which Frimpong replied “Scum Yid”.

An annoyed Frimpong then re-tweeted a response from another Tottenham fan who came to the Ghanian born player’s defence:

You can’t go around wanting players to break limbs, no matter who you play for. Embarrassed to be a yid right now!

An Arsenal Spokesman has informed the public that the young star who is currently recovering form a serious knee injury has been firmly spoken to and “has been reminded of his responsibilities and has deleted the comment.”

We wonder what uncle Bizzle will have to say about this?
