The cream of Nigerian talent will be taking to the stage at the end of the month for a major concert to celebrate the launch of an annual cultural festival just in time for the Olympics.

The Summer Soiree aims to highlight the positive attributes of Nigerians living in the UK and worldwide, whilst eradicating negative connotations attached to the country. The night will play host to some of the best musicians and comedians all celebrating and promoting their Nigerian backgrounds to a diverse audience.

The audience will be entertained by some of the UK’s leading performers and will also get the chance to learn some interesting facts about the west African country.

The summer soiree will be held in London’s popular Troxy and will feature some big names from urban entertainment including top British comedienne Gina Yashere, Disturbing London signing G Frsh and up and comer Mikill Pane fresh from touring with chart topper Ed Sheeran.

The concert will be hosted by Amal Fashanu daughter of retired footballer John Fashanu and presenter on BBC 3 documentary Britain’s Gay Footballers, alongside popular comedian Don’t Jealous Me.
