Remember Joss Stone? Everyone’s favourite long haired- tree hugging-Devon raised British Soul sensation? Well when we say favourite, she was until that infamous Brit Award speech she gave in that cringey transatlantic accent back in 2007. No Joss, we haven’t forgotten.
In a recent interview with Daily Express Stone revealed how she turned down the opportunity to become a judge on the Voice UK because she didn’t like the competitive side of the show, the 25-year-old explained:
I was approached for The Voice in Britain but I don’t think so… The thing is I love music and I love singing with other people and I don’t see it as a competition at all. I feel that those things are really good to get exposure but they kind of make it into a competition and that is just sad.
Yeah yeah let’s make peace not war, we get it but isn’t this the same Joss Stone who got her big singing break by winning BBC talent show Star For A Night back in 2001. Just saying.
