We’re finding it hard to keep track of who the Sugababes actually are these days. I mean, we know that the original group have reunited under the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan (MKS), but we’re having difficulty bringing ourselves to call them that.
Nevertheless, Keisha Buchanan has admitted that she felt betrayed by her new Sugababe pals Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range after being kicked out of the group in 2009.
The singer was the last man standing out of the original Sugababes line up after Siobhan and Mutya left and has revealed that she was shocked when she was finally given the boot.
Keisha told Popjustice:
I will say that we had a great relationship, me and the girls; I’ve never had an argument with Amelle in my life. I was really shocked by the things that they were saying because I’d always been there for them, and they were there for me as well… But, you move on, and you learn, and I learned valuable life lessons during that period.
To be honest with you I was very hurt and disappointed and I did feel betrayed by the whole thing.
Despite what sounds like a pretty ruthless stab in the back from her old bandmates, the 27-year-old still wishes them the best of luck with their career.
And we have to admit, as much as their new name makes us cringe, MKS are no doubt going to prove that they are the true Sugababes and the ones with all the talent anyway.
