Women are known for finding inventive ways to make their money stretch, so it comes as no surprise that some ladies across London have gone more D.I.Y than B.U.Y. all for the sake of a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
The expensive shoes have become a sought after fashion accessory, popular for their trademark, red soles. A pair can cost anything from £600 up to the thousands. And with the likes of trend setters such as Kim Kardashian and Beyonce rocking the stylish shoes, some women have been trying to mimic the look by popping down to their local Homebase store to buy red paint and, yh you get the picture.
The homeware store announced a 40% increase in the sale of red tester paints with reports of women visiting the D.I.Y store trying to match colour samples with pictures of the designer shoes in fashion magazines rather than colours for their walls.
Now as smart an idea as this may sound, we wouldn’t recommend it unless you have an eye for detail. We just don’t think it’ll have the same effect. However if any of you ladies have ever painted the bottom of your shoes red, please send us a pic so we can clap for you if it looks good and laugh if it looks awful.
