Brixton Clubhouse in south London will host the Strut for Shan fashion show on Friday 3 August, an event which will raise money for the Helen & Douglas Children’s Hospice.
The south London centre took care of Shaniqwa Kyara Gooden, aged two and half, in her last few months after she was diagnosed with cancer of the brain last year. Shaniqwa passed away on 13 December aged just three.
The Strut for Shan initiative is to celebrate her life and show appreciation to the Helen and Douglas House Hospice. All of the ticket proceeds will go to the Children’s Hospice so they can continue to provide end-of-life care to those in need.
The event will be held outdoors and will include an eclectic mix of new British Designers such as Laura Moore Fashion, Isla London, Umirosa London and Lakot Couture who showed at London Fashion week.
While the models strut their stuff, there will be live performances from singers and musicians and music from DJ Smash and DJ French Kiss of KISS FM.
If you get there early you may even be one of the lucky first 100 guests who will get a complimentary cocktail.
