Alexandra Burke revealed she is currently readying a US album release during a Twitter chat session with fans on Monday. The chat used hashtag #AskAlex.
The 24-year-old says she aims to release the record towards the end of this year and will feature production from popular US hit-makers, Rico Love and Swizz Beatz.
Alex says that she and Swizz have already collaborated on a track called Show off, which was initially slated for his album, but will most likely end up on hers.
Quickly thanking fans for their participation, before gearing up for her Children in Need acting debut in the classic Les Misérables musical, Alex tweeted:
Thank you guys so much for joining in on my session. I need to get some sleep for Les Mis tomorrow.. !! Big love , hugs and kisses to U all!

I find it really interesting that Alex is pushing a US album release, considering how terribly her album under-performed in the charts over here.
Her second studio album, Heartbreak on Hold only sold a very poor 6,731 copies in the first week so it seems a little bit over ambitious to want to push a full-length studio album in a hard-hitting market like the US.
That being said, it will be interesting to see if the US embrace her more than the UK do and how she’ll be able to stand out of the crowd in a field dominated by heavyweight global superstars like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Beyoncé.
Either way, we can only wish her the best. C’mon Alex, make some banging hits and do us proud!
