Jessie J is set to make the move to the big screen for the movie about the life of Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts.
The singer/ songwriter/ Voice UK coach will star alongside Pirates of the Caribbean star Mackenzie Crook in a film that will chart Paul Pott’s rise from mobile phone shop manager to opera star. A source told The Mirror:
Jessie was a later addition to the cast, after the rest of the big names had been announced. She is a great casting. Even though she’s primarily a singer, she has a real talent for acting, too.
The script looks hilarious – it’s really cleverly written and has a typically British sense of humour. It’s a real rags-to-riches story.
Jessie will play the girlfriend of Potts’ best friend, played by Crook, when filming starts at the end of October.
We’re verrrrry interested to see how this will do on the big screen. The musician-to-actor transition doesn’t always go too smoothly but hopefully a small part like this will be the perfect transition for J-J-J-J-Jessie J.
