We’ve been going over the pictures from the Mobo Awards nominations last night, trying to decide who the best and worst dressed were.
Okay, okay, so we know it was just the nominations and it wasn’t a dress-up affair, but still – these people are celebs; we look to them to shape what is acceptable for us to wear when we go to buy milk and bread from the corner shop. So who was the best dressed woman on the night?
Amanda Reifer from Cover Drive wins this one.
Even though it wasn’t the main event, she made enough of an effort in her smart-casual yellow and black wrap dress.
Her simple hair, make-up and gold accessories don’t add too much to the brightly coloured dress. Her gold spiked heels are very on trend but don’t make too much of a statement. Her red lipstick is autumn-ready and adds a nice touch of colour and makes her look all the more dressed up.
This could have easily been one of those ‘too much going on’ outfits if the wrong choices were made, but by making the dress the focal point of the outfit whilst still managing to throw some current trends in there, it’s a winner.
If she keeps this up she might find herself competing with another Bajan singer who has a strong influence on global fashion!
