The players at Manchester United don’t seem to think the speed limit applies to them. First Danny Welbeck, and now Rio Ferdinand is in trouble for speeding.
The footballer was given a 6 month driving ban after being caught speeding not once, or twice, but three times in less than six weeks – on the same road. Probably not one of the smartest things Rio has ever done.
The player’s lawyer, who also represented Welbeck, tried to use the argument that Rio needed his car to drive his sons to school and spend time with them. The judge was having none of it though, and gave him a ban anyway.
We don’t think he’s going to have much trouble getting around though. There must be people lining up to be Rio Ferdinand’s driver if this tweet is anything to go by
Didn't know so many drivers followed me!! Thanks for the offers but I'm cool, I'm sorted on the drivers front. #speedkills

Well if he’s not going to take anyone up on their offer, I wouldn’t mind a chauffeur
