In what will definitely shock fans and critics alike, Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed that she was sexually assaulted at the tender age of 16.

In her forthcoming Autobiography Honest, My Story So Far, the 24-year-old X-factor judge reveals she was sexually assaulted by someone she believed to be her friend back in 2004.  The Daily mail have had an exclusive preview of the book and Tulisa explains:

At a rave with a few companions, the 24-year-old explained that on the night in question she had seen her friends putting pills in people’s drinks and told them that she didn’t want to get involved.

In the candid book, Tulisa reveals that she even lied about having a heart condition to ensure that her drink wouldn’t get spiked. She then said after a few dizzy spells, she was stumbling and escorted out of a club for some fresh air. Tulisa then went on to say:

The next thing I remembered was waking up. lying in the back of a cab and seeing the street lights whizzing past me through the windows. I felt completely out of it, and I blacked out again.

She said, the next time she eventually came around, she found herself in a bedroom. Moments later, she eventually reveals she woke up to an alleged friend, sexually assaulting her.

I couldn’t even move, let alone get up or speak, and once again I just blacked out. When I finally woke up in the morning I found myself in a strange house.

With a new album just around the corner and a weekly appearance on the X Factor, it seems Miss Contostavlos is doing everything in her power to ensure her name is everywhere.

Slightly odd how such a revealing book around such a sensitive topic would drop around the time of her debut album and while she’s still on a popular TV series.

Can you spell promotion any louder, people?

Tulisa’s Autobiography Honest, will hit UK bookshelves on Thursday.
