Despite the criticism that Labrinth has given the X Factor in the past and revealing that he has been forced by boss Simon Cowell to perform on the show, Labrinth’s performance with Emeli Sande has only brought good things.
The singer/producer’s song Beneath Your Beautiful featuring Emeli Sande knocked Florence and the Machine off the top of the charts this Sunday, just a week after his performance. Coincidence? I think not.
Just in case you think, “it’s a good song, it deserves to be number one”…yes, it’s a good song but before the performance it was at number 85 in the charts. Number 85. Not even top 40.
Even though he was clearly tied up and dragged kicking and screaming to the X Factor studios, Labrinth doesn’t seem to regret his performance and is actually enjoying its rewards:

Some of friends also decided to congratulate the singer on his chart success:

So whilst artists who perform on the X Factor don’t take their craft seriously according to some, it’s not all bad is it?
