10-year-old Chukwuxavier Nwobani-Akanwo, who Police feared had been abducted by his mother on Monday has been found, and safely reunited with his father. His school has just confirmed the news on their website and Twitter account.

The schoolboy went missing on Monday evening in what is believed to be a custody battle between his mother and father, and was last seen at his school in Deptford, south east London, when he was picked up by his 18-year-old sister.

Since being reported as a missing person, Police had feared little Chukwuxavier was abducted by his mother. A court ruling had given his father custody of him, although details of this have not been released.

His mother, was arrested in connection with her son’s disappearance, but it is yet to be announced whether she has been released following the news that Chukwuxavier has been found.
