Four Teenagers have been accused of the murder of 15-year-old Negus McClean from Edmonton, Redbridge, north London.
The aspiring rapper was out getting a take-away with his younger Brother Elijiah, 13 at the time, when about 13 youths on bicycles made chase for Negus, allegedly over a Blackberry, witnesses told the police.
Negus was stabbed to death and beaten with metal polls at around 7.25pm on Sunday April 10 last year.
After protecting his younger brother, Negus later died in hospital. The ultimate sacrifice.
Billal Lariba, 18, of Mayall Close, Enfield, Brandon Hamilton, 18, of Broad Oak Avenue, Enfield, Tershan Edwards, 18, of St Albans, Hertfordshire, and a 16-year-old boy from Enfield in north London (who cannot be named) appeared at Enfield Magistrates Court today and were remanded in custody until their next appearance at the Old Bailey on Thursday.
A 16-year-old girl from Enfield and Adam Langston, 18, of Beaconsfield Road, Enfield, also appeared before the courts today accused of perverting the course of justice.
Negus’s mother Ingrid is deeply upset by the whole ordeal saying:
He was always my baby. He was my Negus and that’s what I called him. He was my perfect baby. He is missed so much
In commemoration for his older brother, Elijiah posted this YouTube video below hours after Negus’s death.
We will now have to wait until Thursday to find out the jury’s verdict. The trial continues.
