Off the back of his debut album reaching number seven in the UK, American rapper A$AP Rocky has expressed his desires to follow in Jay-Z’s footsteps and perform at Glastonbury festival stating that he would “kill” there. Talking to the Daily Star he said:

Hopefully they will give me a chance.

However, remembering Noel Gallagher’s statement made about Jay-Z being “wrong for Glastonbury” A$AP said that he believed that Glastonbury was still too scared to book hip hop acts in favour of guitar bands.

The rapper is not going to let that put him off though, as he ended the interview saying:

The UK had better watch out. I love it here, it’s like New York. We gonna do a lot of amazing things, some big things.

Ah, we look forward to it.
