Amy Winehouse has become the first artist to be nominated for a Brit award after death. The late singer is up against Paloma Faith, Emeli Sande, Jessie Ware and Bat For Lashes for the Best British Female award.
Although she is competing with Emeli Sande and Jessie Ware who are relatively new and have made a big impact on the industry in 2012, it seems likely that’ll she win as this is the last time she can be nominated for such an award.
However, it probably would’ve been more suitable to give her an individual award recognising her work or her legacy.
We’ll see how this one goes.
