With her scorching hot GQ shoot previously being the talk of the internet, new reports confirm that RnB icon Beyonce is set to perform at next month’s Brit Awards.
The singer will perform at the show to be held at London’s O2 Arena. It will be the singer’s first performance at the show in a decade, when she first launched her solo career.
A spokesperson for the award show said:
She’s among the best live pop acts on the planet, and will have brand new material to play for the audience.
Popular UK Radio 1 presenter Jameela Jamil confirmed she will be a presenter at the Brits where Bey is set to perform and she couldn’t contain her excitement on Twitter.
Beyonce is expected to perform new material from her forthcoming album, which has yet to receive a release date or a single announcement, but the singer confirmed in an interview with GQ Magazine that she had been working with Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, The Dream and Justin Timberlake.
While details of the project are tight, Beyonce described the direction as being RnB driven, with hints of the 90s, while her friend Rita Ora spoke to Capital FM recently, saying she had already heard some songs from the new album. She revealed:
I heard some songs from the new album from Beyonce and everyone else better sit down, she’s back..
The news also excited many fans on Twitter, who have been waiting for the megastar’s return since her last album, 4, in 2011.
Happy fans tweeted:
Seems like the singer will have a busy February. The Brit Awards take place on 20 February and Bey is also set to perform at The Superbowl half time show on 3 February which will include a Destiny’s Child reunion. She has also been nominated at this year’s Grammy’s on 13 February.
Seems like she’ll be everywhere next month, so is it February or FeBEYuary?
Any of our readers excited? We’re really interested to see what she performs at the show, we can’t wait.
