Classmates of Imani Green gathered alongside hundreds of people at The New Testament Assembly in Tooting, south London yesterday for a candlelight vigil to honour her memory.
Eight-year-old Imani was visiting family in Jamaica when she was caught in a lottery scam crossfire and later died in hospital.
Headteacher, Anna Wilson, of Fircroft Primary School, Tooting, read out a short touching poem written by Imani’s classmates of 3H;
So sweet and kind. Our thoughts of you will never go away. We will miss you each and every day.
Eight people have been arrested and taken in for questioning over Imani’s murder.
