The family of Janelle Duncan-Bailey, the missing mother-of-two from Thornton Heath in south London who was found dead at the weekend, have shared their shock of her death on Twitter and led tributes to her.
Janelle’s younger sister, who uses the Twitter name @CeeJae, tweeted:
And today justice is what the family received with Janelle’s ex-partner Jerome McDonald, 30, aka DJ Riper Don from Croydon attending the Old Bailey, where he has been remanded in custody and charged with her murder.
Janelle’s body was found in a parked car in Thornton Heath on Saturday 5 January.
Since then a post mortem has revealed Janelle’s cause of death as asphyxia and compression of the neck. She had been strangled to death.
The trial will continue on 5 April where McDonald will be expected to appear at a plea and case management hearing.
