It’s his first single from his first album in over six years; Justin Timberlake is back ladies and gentlemen.
Fans were left in misery for years when Justin took a long break from the music scene, leaving many fans speculating as to when he would return or if he would ever make another album again.
The former N Sync singer has only released two studio albums in his career, the first being Justified which spawned hit singles Cry Me a River and Senorita, selling over 7 million copies worldwide.
His second album, FutureSex/LoveSounds sold over 10 million copies worldwide and in the early hours of this morning, he dropped a brand new track taken from his brand new album, titled Suit and Tie featuring rap king Jay-Z.
The brand new single is a groovy mid-tempo cut, which sees Justin display his signature falsetto over live horns and a set of percussion, singing about taking his lady for a night out on the town in his suit and tie with a guest appearance from Jay-Z.
The Timbaland produced cut is proving to be a big hit with Justin’s UK fans that have eagerly been awaiting his return and couldn’t contain their excitement on Twitter this morning.
Overall reactions to the track were mainly positive, with many just satisfied that the singer had decided to return to music:
while the song failed to meet the expectations of others:
The single is taken from Justin’s new album, The 20/20 Experience, which is set to be released later this year and is reportedly being solely produced by Timbaland.
So with a clear divide in opinion, have any our readers heard the track and if so, did it live up to your expectations or were you slightly disappointed?
I like the risk that he took, he could have easily gone down the pop route but it’s definitely something different and catchy.
Let us know what you think of the track, are you looking forward to his new album?
