A ballistics expert today told the Old Bailey that the gunshot wounds found on Mark Duggan’s body indicated he was not facing the police officer who shot him.

The expert told the court that the entry wound on Duggan’s chest was 10 inches higher than the exit wound on his back and suggested Mark was not facing the officer head-on when he was shot.

This ties in with what Dr Simon Pool, Home Office pathologist, told the court last week, that the injuries on Mark Duggan are not consistent with the injuries reported on the police account.

The trial continues.
