Double R have revealed that a coupe version of their sexy Ghost is being launched this year at the Geneva motor show.
The coupe version of the Ghost is being dubbed the Wraith and just like the Ghost it’ll feature a 6.6litre V12 engine; which is likely to be bumped to 600bhp from the Ghosts’s 563bhp.
It’s main rival will be Bentley’s one and only Continental GT and apart from that I don’t see any other competition.
The name ‘Wraith’ was used by Rolls Royce in the olden days on one of its models, but just like the Phantom and Ghost the Wraith has been resurrected by BMW who currently own the Super-Luxurious car maker.
Rollys Royce CEO Torsten Muller Otvos explains why the name was chosen.
Wraith alludes to an almost imperceptible but powerful force, something rare, agile and potent, a spirit that will not be tethered to the earth. It is the perfect name for our new model.
The Wraith will hit showrooms later on in the year. No price has been confirmed yet, but it’s still going to cost more than the Ghost, which is about £170,250.
