If you thought we had enough mobile networks to choose from, you’d be wrong! Phones4u is launching it’s own mobile network called LIFE Mobile.

The retail giant has struck a deal with EE and will piggyback on their network. Virgin Mobile already does this with EE, while O2 provides the network for Tesco Mobile.

When LIFE Mobile launches in March, only 3G speeds will be available at first. For those of you who want superfast 4G, you will have to wait until later in the year.

Tim Whiting (group chief executive of Phones4U) said:

We are delighted to be extending our longstanding partnership with EE in order to add LIFE Mobile to the extensive range of products and services available at Phones 4U.

Phones4u will have to pull out all the stops, (i.e. cheap plans with lots of data and minutes bundled in) to have a chance against other newcomers such as GiffGaff, who have made an impressive impact.

We already have a good selection of networks in the UK, so how will LIFE Mobile stand out? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
