It’s been a good year for car manufacturers in the UK. Car sales have been at an all time high since 2008‘s double dip recession. Registrations rose 5.3 per cent year-on-year to 2.04 million models, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)
BMW 1 Series
BMW’s 1 Series is at the bottom of this list, but still made good sales of 34,448 vehicles.
37,261 units of the C-Class were sold in 2012.
VW managed to move 41,901 units of their hot hatch.
BMW 3 Series
This sexy beast was bought 44,521 times in 2012.
I see this car literally everywhere. Not surprising as 45,675 were sold in 2012.
62,021 of the signature VW model were sold in 2012, not bad.
63,023 Astras were shifted in 2012.
The majestic Ford Focus was one of Britain’s favourites as 83,115 units were sold in 2012.
The Vauxhall Corsa did well in 2012 with 89,434 units sold.
And leading the pack is Ford’s small but mighty Fiesta, with strong sales of 109,265.
