In a cringeworthy interview after track and field athlete Mo Farah completed a half marathon in New Orleans, Mo is asked by news anchor LaTonya Norton if he’s run before.
Well, erm, if getting gold medals at the Olympics has suddenly become irrelevant then, no, he hasn’t run before.
Mo Farah won the New Orleans race and broke the record by completing the half marathon in one hour and 59 seconds.
And clearly, LaTonya was baffled as to how a runner who was unknown to her was able to complete a race so quickly and break the record. Because clearly, anyone she doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing.
And bless Mo Farah, for he went along with her ignorance agreeing it was his first run – in New Orleans – and didn’t even mention the worldwide sports competition that is the Olympics.
