With the success of his debut album channel ORANGE meeting the praise of critics and fans, Frank Ocean is already crafting the follow-up  and states that he’s already 10-11 songs into the new project.

The singer recently spoke to Radio 1’s Zane Lowe during a brief stay in the UK about his upcoming album, which he calls a continuation of channel ORANGE and will be yet another conceptual album.

He noted that so far he had worked with Pharrell Williams and Tyler the Creator on the untitled album, stating:

I was in the studio with Pharrell just yesterday (18 February), Tyler the Creator came by and we were just playing records. As far as collaborations in the future for me, I don’t know.

Frank then revealed he would be recording his next album in Bora Bora, as it will play an important role in the creativity of the album:
At the end of channel ORANGE, there’s Golden Girl and it’s this beach scene, and I kind of want to extend that feel into the next record all together, kinda make it that theme.
I hope this album has a little more variation than Channel Orange, I’m a massive Frank fan but I did find his debut album to be a snooze-fest for the most part.
It would be nice to see him tap into some uptempo songs on the project, I could always see him doing a Drake-like song; let’s hope his next album will be more to my liking.
