Kevin Hutchinson-Foster has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for supplying Mark Duggan with an illegal gun just 12 minutes before Mark was chased down and shot by police.

29-year-old Duggan took a taxi to pick up the gun from 30-year-old Hutchinson-Foster which was stashed in a shoebox, and was later shot by police after he allegedly drew the weapon on them.

Hutchinson-Foster denied giving the gun to Mark Duggan, the Old Bailey heard today. Prosecuting Judge David Radford said:

There is a significant risk that you will commit specified violent offences in future.

He also noted that Hutchinson-Foster knew that the firearm would eventually be used for criminal purposes. This was the second time that Kevin had been tried for supplying an illegal handgun.
