Labrinth has confirmed that he will work with last year’s X Factor winner, James Arthur on new material later on this year for an unconfirmed project.

The two are both signed to Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco but have yet to decide whose album the material they produce will end up on.

Labrinth told the Daily Star:

I love James. Hopefully we’ll get in the studio and do something, I don’t know if it’ll be for my album or his but we’re excited to work together.

It was previously reported that James is also set to work with urban producer, Faser T Smith, who is the same producer that worked on Adele’s Grammy award-winning album 21.
It seems like James is lining up the best producers and songwriters in urban music for his debut album so it’s likely that he’ll be going down the soul/RnB route.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he scores a collaboration with a few high profile UK artists… James Arthur featuring Skepta, maybe?
