Leona Lewis and her management team, Modest! management have ended their working relationship of six years, due to the singer wanting to move forward in her career.

Modest! and Leona have been working together side by side since her X Factor victory back in 2006 and have helped the singer sell more than 20 million records worldwide.

Directors of Modest! Richard Griffiths and Harry Magee released a statement regarding the split, stating:

We were very proud to have Leona on the Modest! roster and of everything she has achieved. We wish her all the best in the next phase of her career.

Leona released a statement in response to her departure from the management team, going on to say:

I greatly enjoyed my time working with Modest! and I’m very proud of all the things we achieved together. I would like to thank them for all their hard work and support over the years. They played an important role in my career and I’ll always be grateful to them. I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career.

The management team will however help Leona find new management across the Atlantic and it’s believed that talks with Front Liners and other management teams  have already been discussed.

Regardless of whether she seeks new management or not – which I’m sure she will – Leona needs a complete revamp from her music to image and just overall package.

Clearly a gifted vocalist, Leona is hard to understand as an artist and even worse, she’s not at all engaging musically and lacks a captivating personality.

Maybe she should carefully consider the direction of her future projects and work on becoming an artist that can actually entertain a wider audience if she hopes to remain relevant years from now.
