On Tuesday 19 February, HTC will hold an event which may be used to launch their latest smartphone. The rumoured HTC One (previously rumoured to be called M7), has been apparently spotted by the folks at @evleaks.

The picture shows a new design for HTC as there are now only two capacitive buttons on the front (instead of the usual three). You now have ‘back’ and ‘home’ buttons which sit either side of the HTC logo. At the top and bottom of the phone are what seem to be large speaker grills. This phone does bear more than a striking resemblance to the iPhone 5.

The handset will be HTC’s new flagship device and you can bank on it having impressive specs. Rumours say the super-phone will have a quad-core Qualcomm processor, a 4.7-inch full HD display, 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera.Wow, 13!

So this device will double the RAM in HTC’s current top phone (the One X+) but half the storage, as the One X+ currently sports a whopping 64GB internal storage.

You can also expect to see the device running the latest version of Android with HTC’s ‘Sense’ skin on top.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on HTC’s event to see if the rumours are true.
