Rihanna released the video for her latest single, Stay, on Tuesday and the track is riding high at No.3 on the UK iTunes chart.
However, it appears the video seems to have hit home with
wag pop star UK X Factor judge USA X Factor judge has-been TV ad-girl Cheryl Cole.
The video for the emotional ballad sees a vulnerable Rihanna sink and sob in a bath tub about the temptation and failure of resisting true love and sees her tackle heart-felt lyrics, that include the line:
Makes me feel like I can’t live without you, it takes me all the way, I want you to stay.
But the video for the song seems to have connected emotionally with Cheryl, as she poured out her feelings towards the video on Twitter, describing how clearly she could identify with the song and visual:
I wonder if she cried?
She clearly must have been talking about her dysfunctional relationship with footballer and ex-husband, Ashley Cole.
Cheryl has already expressed a huge interest in collaborating with the Bajan pop star so who knows, maybe we’ll get an emotional power ballad from the two which outlines their toxic relationships.
Let’s just pray if the two were to work together, the accompanying visual wouldn’t see them burning cars or destroying their homes with baseball bats!
