An unnamed Samsung device has made an appearance online with some interesting benchmark results.

I had a closer look at this mysterious device on the GLBenchmark site and put it up against the iPhone 5, Galaxy S3 and Google Nexus 4.

The results speak for themselves.

In the 2.5 Egypt HD Offscreen test, the Samsung device scored 4672. This is significantly better score than the iPhone 5 (3290), Galaxy S3 (1872) and Google Nexus 4 (3803).

This device (which bears the name ‘Samsung SHV-E300S’) may or may not be the Galaxy S4, but the signs are pointing towards the as-yet-unannounced Samsung flagship. The specs show it has a 1920×1080 display and runs Android 4.2.1. These are big clues to what may be on the way especially as those specs match the S4 rumors floating on the web.

The current S3 uses Samsung’s own processer called the Exynos, but it’s possible the S4 could use a quad-core Qualcomm chip instead. The Qualcomm processor is said to be faster than Exynos and has better power management, so the change would make sense.

Reports suggest the Galaxy S4 will be officially announced in March, so we will have to wait to see if this mystery device is the new Samsung flagship.
